Pets Need Dental Care, Too!

February is National Pet Dental Month! In celebrating we are offering a $50.00 discount on all anesthetic and non-anesthetic dentals during the months of January, February and March. Don't ignore your pet's bad breath! Schedule an appointment today and keep your pet healthy.

  • Your pets bad breath could be more than a smelly annoyance; it might signify a serious health risk with the potential to damage not only the animal's teeth and gums but it's internal oragans as well. Bacteria from the mouth can enter the bloodstream and damage your pet's liver, kidneys, lungs and heart.

  • According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats show signs of oral disease by the age of three, often indicated by bad breath, a change in eating or chewing habits, pawing at the face or mouth and depression.

  • Although tooth brushing is advised for dogs and cats, only 2% of pet owners follow through with routine home dental care. In addition, 65% of dogs with stage one periodontal disease often go untreated. Avoid feeding your pet sweets and table scraps. Dry food, biscuits, and safe hard nylon chew toys will help cleanse the teeth. Brushing will help tremendously. If you start when your pet is young he/she will learn to tolerate the process.

Call today and schedule an appointment.
